Pawsey Supercomputing Centre

Pawsey Supercomputing Centre

The Pawsey Supercomputing Centre is one of two, Tier 1, High Performance Computing facilities in Australia, whose primary function is to accelerate scientific research for the benefit of the nation. They enable and support groundbreaking science and drive innovation across Australia and the world.

The Centre is supported by the Western Australia and Federal Governments. This includes $90 million funding as part of the Australian Government’s measures to support national research infrastructure under the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy and related programs through the Department of Education.

They required an annual report that adhered to their brand guidelines, while being engaging and showcasing their amazing (and often mind-blowing) work. The report was information-heavy at 96 pages long. A plethora of content and images needed to be included, laid out in a way that was manageable and user-friendly. Infographics and graphs needed to be created for many of the articles, often illustrating complex information in a digestible way. A digital version of the report was also created. The resulting report was engaging, contemporary and fascinating to read.

The artwork featured on the cover is by Wajarri/Noongar artist, Jesse Pickett.
