Africa Integrity provides the highest quality intelligence in Africa, to support UK investors looking to make successful business ventures in the continent. Based in London, they were founded in 2010, shortly after the UK Bribery Act became law. They support high standards of corporate ethics, and help protect clients’ people, property and assets, by using the best privileged-source intelligence. They help their clients navigate the political and social context that they’re operating under, while ensuring cultural empathy and legal adherence. They pride themselves on their work being bespoke and targeted for every client.
They required a brand that alluded to the African continent, while also to their business values of integrity and personal guidance. Elephants are one of the most iconic visual symbols of Africa, and also one of the most intelligent and emotionally advanced animals on the planet. Elephants are also known to guide their young, with one elephant holding onto the other’s tail for protection. This motif was the perfect representation of what Africa Integrity do. I created a stylised and simplified icon of the elephants to avoid an overcomplicated logo, and combined it with a strong typeface to convey strength and stability. I chose a bold orange to represent the heat and desert associated with many parts of Africa, combined with a serious grey to show professionalism. Africa Integrity had some impressive photography to utilise throughout the rest of the brand. This gave the brand an exciting and worldly spirit, while alluding to some of the situations that investors and businesses might encounter.
